Chaturdasi Tithi

Chaturdasi is the fourteenth tithi beginning Amavasai, in both the waxing and waning phase of the moon [Sukla paksham and Krishna paksham].

Naraka chaturdasi is the day when Lord Krishna fought and won over Narakasura.

Narakasura had a boon that allowed him protection from death and that only a woman could kill him. In the final battle with Narakasura, Krishna fainted and Sathyabama, a reincarnation of Bhudevi, took over and became victorious against Narakasura.

People born in the Chaturdasi tithi are believed to be the calculative type. A tacit business person who is willing to fight for what he/she wants. A lover of all pleasure for the senses, films, parties, entertainment.

They will have a strong and healthy body with a personality to go. They are steadfast in their views about their beliefs.

Chaturdashi is ruled by Sukran, division is Rikta, deity is Kali. If Chaturdasi falls on a saturday, it is considered an auspicious day.
